Ok, for the people who have the helmet.
How does he give it to you, do you have to talk to him or it just shows up in your character's inventory (the one you participated with)

just be in the green circle, or just next to him, and have an empty inventory slot. your headgear goes there, can get a rune, has +0 anything.

No. You do not have to play any games at all. It would appear that you could be AFK and still get the helm, since Mad King is just a bot and he gives it based soley on characters in his proximity at the designated time.

Well good, cause I`m at work till 6:30 then have to take the kids out to get some candy. Would love to get a pumpkin hat so it looks like I`ll have to be there AFK.

So the Mad king just appears randomly ? In a few different district and rotates once in a while?
So if you're not there when he starts his games will you still get the pumkin head if you participate regardless of when you did ?

We were in District 2 and half way through we all get a ERR7 code and was disconected :-(
Quickly logged back in to D2 but he had gone I checked all districts till I found him again halfway through his routine.
Joining in his games increased my Halloween items when I got it right. And at the end he says he has to go and the Pumkin head then appears in your inventory.

Jesus, is it that hard to work things out for yourselves? People have just stated that it's midday PST and then every three hours on american servers.
Is it that hard to type PST and your timezone into google and working it out for yourselves maybe? Realy not that difficult is it?

If you die in a town or outpost, does it add to your death meter?
Very important question because I have a character with 0 deaths still

Also, because I have to go to work and I don't have the time to slog through the posts and do the math...
Will the Mad King be showing up 'again' @ 11pm CST (12am EST, 9pm PST) tonight?

Yes, it does. Although having 0 deaths doesn't really mean much, I mean, people might just assume you're the type to quit when the going gets tough instead...
